For those of you who don't know Fool's Gold is a 50/100 mile mountain bike race through N. Georgia. Registration ends at the end of this month and it races on August 15th. More info at:

Those of us meer mortals who don't want to ride 50/100 miles on a mountain bike might want to partake and cheer on/support those people and that is a totally awesome option. Eddie and Nam do a really good job. You get free food/beer(if there is some)/swag without the entry fee.
Just got this email figured I'd post it up.
"Hi everyone!
I have talked to most of you about volunteering for this year's Fool's Gold 50/100. I also included a couple of you that volunteered last year---let me know if you are interested in helping out again. Jesse Gould will be taking over the logistics and coordination for the SAG volunteers so either he or I will be in touch with more details. If you know of anyone else that would like to help out, please forward me their contact info. We could use a few more hands...Thanks, again, for volunteering, we really can't do it without you!
Namrita"
So if you want to volunteer hit her up. namritak AT gmail DOT com

not race, still win
Also, at Southern Cross Eddie and Nam entered the volunteers in the raffle with all the racers, and a volunteer won a Raxter hitch rack. They treat their volunteers very well.
I forgot to mention that.
I forgot to mention that. It's seriously an easy low stress gig.
