Yeah, its a pay-to-ride bike ride of 9, 35, 62, or 100 miles, but they are shutting down a little bit of GA 400 for the start of the ride, so you get to bike on a road usually limited to 100mph travel!

Coupon code "400rider" saves you $5 of the $35 registration on register.com if you register between july 4th and july 9th, event is on July 12th.

Anyone interested?

I kind of want to do the metric, but the ride starts at 6:30am, and waaaaah, I'm a big baby who likes his sleep.

6:30am, 67F and sunrise, or

6:30am, 67F and sunrise, or 6:30pm, 92F and BLISTERING HOT SWEAT DEATH SUN LASER HEAT. To me, the choice is clear :)

If you want to ride some

If you want to ride some raging 4 lanes plan to ride the Sequatchie Valley Century this fall. Chatannooga Bicycle Club sponsors this ride up the Sequatchie Valley, up Signal Mountain, and back DOWN a straight, scary federal highway. Sort of interesting to Share The Road with sixteen-wheelers who are controlling their speed (45 - 50 mph) as you both descend. And there's a nice, uniformed State Patrol Officer waving you onto the on ramp.

One of my favorite rides.

Or Chattanooga Waterfron Tri

the bike course is out and back in the center lane of highway 27. Last year it rained too. the upside is that the swim is with the current in the Tennessee River. and you have two whole weeks to get ready for it...
