The idea is to leave from San Francisco Coffee off Ponce and Highland at 8pm sharp. The days are just long enough that we can get through half the ride with the setting sun light. This ride will be about 20 miles long and will take about an hour and a half.
the route
This is pretty much the route that we'll take. I finally did the Beecher St section instead of Cascade Rd and loved it. More rolling hills with a bit of a climb at the end of Beecher.
We'll ride from SF Coffee to Downtown, MLK and transfer through Washington Park, Mozley Park, Anderson Park, the Lionel Hampton Trail, Beecher St., Cascade Rd, Beltline Trail on White St, Murphy Ave which turns into Peachtree St. back to Downtown.
Fun pace, I'm thinking 10 to 15 miles per hour. There are two 40 mph downhills with no cross traffic on this ride. It's a blast. Super fun.

I went on this ride on Wednesday night. It has a lot of hills but definitely worth it.

There is talk of trying to do it Thursday during the day, but that only happened once. I'll try and keep you posted, the Wednesday night rides meets at 8 and takes a different in town route. I have been doing both. It, the Wednesday night ride also leaves from SF Coffee.

Yes, the Monday night West Side ride will be leaving from SF Coffee off of Ponce de Leon and N. Highland Ave at 730pm sharp. We discovered a new route that knocks out the second 40 mile an hour down hill and long up hill that is tough for some, come out and join us for this beautiful trip out to the West Side of the city during the light of a beautiful setting sun.
