Be Yr Own Hero organizes Wilmington's Critical Mass (and the Really Really Free Market, Food Not Bombs, etc.). We would love it if some of you could come up and do workshops or maybe help organize/participate in an Alley Cat Race or Bike Olympics!

Be Yr Own Hero is accepting submissions for the 3rd annual Be Yr Own Hero Festival (a.k.a. Hero Fest) for music, art, film, performance, fashion, zine/DIY/craft, and workshops/info sessions. The deadline for submissions is July 19th, 2009.

Be Yr Own Hero Fest is an annual radical Do It Yourself (DIY) festival in Wilmington, NC. It includes workshops, info sessions, awesome live music, rad art, free stuff, free food, lots of fun and friends from far away and close by! (We will try to arrange rideshares for friends who do not live near Wilmington.) This year's Hero Fest is September 5-6, 2009 (Labor Day Weekend).

Hey, Hotlantans!
We're going to do an Alley Cat the Friday before Hero Fest (Sept.4) so people can have something to do that night when they get into town. Obvs, that's really far away so we will keep you all updated as Hero Fest nears. Hopefully a bunch of you can come up and rock out!
