FM2408: We need help with prizes!

kurt's picture

We need help getting prizes for the 24 Hour race. We are super busy putting this thing together, and we are maxed out on resources.

We have most of the big prizes worked out, but we need your help gathering small stuff like gift certificates, bike toys, apparel, free stuff, action figures, whatever. If you can, please visit just one neighborhood retailer and ask them to donate a prize. Then, ask them to e-mail their logo to krautstache at gmail.com. Its that simple!

1. Pick a retailer that you frequent or know someone who works there (local businesses preferred)
2. POST HERE which retailer you will visit (so we don't double up)
2. Tell them about the race (http://24.fastermustache.org)
3. Ask for a donation (gift certificates are great!)
4. They get their logo on the flyer and website, and a shout-out at the race.

Here are some suggested retailers to talk to:
Village Pizza
Carol St. Cafe
Ria's Bluebird
The Depot
The Earl
Flatiron Bar
Stone Soup Kitchen
The Local
The Five Spot
Aurora Coffee
Aces Bar in Kirkwood
Mojo Pizza
Dakota Blue
Grant Central Pizza
Any Tattoo Shop
....

We have already got stuff going with the places on the flyer.

THANKS for your help! Please e-mail me when you get prizes so we can coordinate.

I've asked them about the

I've asked them about the logo and the response has been just take it off their website. Most of the places I visit are really busy and there's just no way they're gonna remember to email a logo, etc. So I know what your goal is but they see it as additional work on top of giving us free stuff. oh well, just do the best ya can with that. I'll confirm as many as I can as soon as I can.

kurt's picture

no problem

That is fine if they say that - I will do my best to extract logos. But whenever possible, .eps is a wonderful thing!
