Be really careful out there
Be really careful out there when the show lets out. I used to train night rides out there. I always waited for the lasershow crowd to leave. People are lost, getting their ass chewed by a wife, dealing with cranky tired sunburned kids, following a line of red taillights like a trail of lemmings. The last thing they are looking for are cyclists. I watched (and was almost hit by) a car going going the wrong way running over orange barriers while the wife had every interior light on reading a part map. aside from that.. its a great place to ride.

Park police expect night riders to have lights.

i should have mentioned that being that it's a laser show, everyone is expected to have front/back lights for the ride home.
beer/alcohol?
Does anyone know if you're allowed to have beer/wine at the laser show?
their FAQ says no alcohol on
their FAQ says no alcohol on the lawn. it doesn't say if you can have it anywhere else.
what do I need to bring? I was planning on a sandwich, water, bug spray, and a lock. should I bring a blanket too?
i have a bunch of friends going ahead and in cars
I have a handful of friends going ahead and in cars who will be cooking food. We should be fine on blankets and such. Details on how much food there'll be or what we need to bring are yet to be determined. Pamela and I are going in squid gear and send our stuff/change of clothes with the cars and we have another friend leaving with us from my house.
