there is a hydro sensitive sticker in it.
that changes color if it gets wet. i think if it gets too humid it will change to without it getting wet.
I would contest that claim on the account the edges of none of the stickers have peeled up.
(odds are they would peel up if it ever got wet)
worse comes to worse if it is just the drive replacing it isnt all that hard. I have done it on a ibook and that has 27 screws, the macbook has closer to 11. (used to do m.i.s. and hardware and software support ages ago)
I also know someone selling a most recent revison of the macbook for fairly cheap as a third option

Yeah I can get a better hard drive than what I started with for cheap like $70. I really like the macbook air, but i want something a bit sturdier. I wish mac made something like the toughbooks because I want something I can keep in my bag and ride with. I think it may have gotten "wet" from sweat from being in my bag.
