This website sees Atlanta as a lost city in the future? Dang.
Don't know how scientific these predictions are, but I'm skeptical about Atlanta being a "lost city," but not the others. The Southeast is resource rich, it's just a mattter of allocating these resources.
How about Phoenix...straight up desert town.
The only city on that list not due to mother nature is Detroit; if this was a socialist society, the people in power would at least move people from New Orleans to Detroit starting.....now.

D-town
I'm not surprised Detroit is on there at all. It's been hemorrhaging peeps for a long time. It would be first on my list of cities that will be taken over by gangs dressed in armor made from auto parts found in abandoned Chevy factories.
Let this be a warning! BUY AMERICAN!!! Go out and get yourself a Tahoe or an Escalade (they make hybrid versions now that get 20 whole miles to the gallon!!! Take that Prius!)
hmmm, Honda factory in Ohio,

You ever had one of the
You ever had one of the Chevy or Ford trucks made in Mexico? Do not want. 4 srsly.
I'll never buy another car that is not made in an ISO 9000 facility again.
Also, I just don't see how people can say my Camry that was made in edit - Georgetown, Kentucky doesn't belong in NASCAR.
Ha!
See, first you make fun of me at lunch for bringing this up, and then here you go posting it on FM.
Atlanta lacks enough large bodies of drinkable water.... unless you count the Tennessee river to the north. But to get access to that we'd have to go to war with our state neighbors and rise Mulholland from the grave to build us an aqueduct.

correction
