Add your own special observations to the list.

1. Roadies. I saw more riding home tonight than I have seen all year.
2. Traffic jams on MUP.

Solar Protection

Fair-skinned as I am, I've just started using sunblock for group rides. (Not sure why I think this is not necessary during the "off season." What? Do I actually think that ultraviolet rays take the winter off?) MP

having sleeves quite often

having sleeves quite often during the winter also alleviates this, for me atleast :)

Roadie Group Rides

Once the weather changes, the roadies come out. Here's the typical "in-season" group ride schedule for committed and speed-addicted "in-town" roadies: Monday: (not sure); Tuesday: Northlake (but I never do this one...); Wednesday: Outback. Thursday: Avondale Pizza Ride (and -- for those who live farther north, the Buckhead Bellyache). Friday: (not sure); Saturday: Tucker; Sunday (until mid-April): Airport. All are fun. Some are more Darwinian than others (in terms of pace). MP

Speaking of.. last night I

Speaking of.. last night I was riding with tex and adrian on the path out towards avondale, and there was a good sized ride of roadies riding on the road the other way and they all had matching kits. first time i've seen a matching kits ride ever.

what's MUP?

MUP=Multi User Path

I don't mind sharing, kind of nice to see people out enjoying themselves. Problems start when someone bent on a training ride comes zipping down the path into the kids--if you want to go that fast try the road man.

I think what I was seeing was the riders heading to the Avondale ride.

So I was riding over near little five points

and the weather must have been nice last night
I was riding my fixed gear and skidded past a convertible at a light and the passenger flashed me

unrelatedly, is there a list of the roadie group rides up online somewhere? I would like an excuse to hang up my jeans and messenger bag for spandex sometime soon
