Can I make a (modest) CM proposal: Can we roll out no later than 6:40p? Full disclosure here: I haven't done the ride in a while. So... perhaps I have no business saying anything (Ya know?). And perhaps the ride has -- of late -- been the very picture of Teutonic punctuality. But I've been there a few times (back in the hoary days of yesteryear in now fuzzy "aught-seven") when it just seemed like a "Seinfield" episode where we all waited around -- well after 6:30p and sometimes until 7p -- for something to happen. (I thought the "official" starting-out time was actually 6:30p.) What do y'all say we "cowboy up" and move out this time ('round 'bout 6:40p). MP

Apparently I sounded like a hateful rider last time because I was hoarse and yelling and probably a hateful rider, BUT can we please try to guide the mass to less neighborhoody roads? I keep seeing people struggling with the narrow and hilly streets and cause other riders (me) problems. Besides...it's a nice city to ride around...dark neighborhoods are not nearly as fun (imho).

Grab some friends and ride at the front. I've been known to do this from time to time. I am easily persuaded to follow people with sensible ideas.
