It's a pretty neat idea for a site. You give it an address, and it assigns a score based on the proximity of restaurants, grocery stores, movie theaters, and so on. It's not perfect by their own admission, but it's still pretty cool to see what all is nearby.

The only restaurant it lists for our address is Chop Chop. Little do they know its actually Chop Restaurant Chop, according to the sign.

Score

68, which is probably pretty good for Atlanta. I'm a block away from the Edgewood retail district, and a few blocks away from Cabbagetown and Little Five Points. EAV and Chandler Park are close too. Grant Park and Oakland Cemetery are close enough...

Damn, jase, you live in the hood

I got an 80, which is much better than having neighbors. oh wait...

Hmmm...

Now that I think about your location, the Atlantic Station citadel is pretty close. So are a bunch of other amenities.

I don't know how the scoring is weighted, but it does seem heavily geared towards consumer space and less oriented to civic/public space (e.g. parks and libraries.)

I like how it has a distinct category for book stores!

yeah, disney around the corner

Oh, and stop trying to force your literacy on us! dammit jase!!!

But I know I don't live in a walking neighborhood. That is why I ride a bike.

I used to live in a walking neighborhood

I came home late one night and the whole neighborhood was gone. It left me a note saying it went to the other neighbohood to buy cigarrets, but never returned. That's when I moved.
