The Trinewt is one hell of a light... a really, really excellent design based on a triple Luxeon Rebel emitter. BTW Skate Escape has these (or did last time I checked) /shameless plug.
The Lupine OTOH... holy crap, that thing is really cool. It's not just the light head either... it's the whole damn system. The charger will condition the batteries, charge them to 40% so you can do long term cold storage on them, the optics and the emitters are upgradable. The light head will dim itself when you stop if you have it set on high (to protect from overheating) then go back to full brightness when you start going again. Really awesome stuff.... of course that $700+ price tag makes me cringe (yeah, 700 clams just for a light...).
Lastly... it is really cool to see a review of the Knog 605. I had my doubts that the light would cut it when I first read about it. Also, the light can be found at a lot of places for below the $400 retail price tag.
