I am making an amateur documentary of the relay this year.
I am seeking serious riders that I can follow throughout the entire 24 hour period.
I will be shooting (in a good way) and interviewing as many riders as I can, but
I was hoping to find a few folk who _know_ they'll be making it through to the end,
so that I have at least a few subjects that I can track throughout the entire race.
Make sense?
If you'd be willing to participate, email me at soulpiercing brew DOT net.
Hope to see you all at the relay. And good luck!
I'll be the one trying to bike with a video camera. Ha ha...
thanks,
Stephen

Any previews??
Hows the documentary going?? Any sneak previews??

he took a lot of footage. I'm sure he's still editing like crazy.
Well...
come on... chop chop
there's a lot less
there's a lot less motivation when you know others aren't watching you.
true true
I'd definitely like to see it, even if it's just the raw footage. Maybe he can schedule a screening or some sort of deadline to have the proper motivation. But in any case genius takes time.
preview
sorry, guys, i haven't been following the forum.
here's a sneak peak. probably a 1/4 of what it'll wind
up being and it's mostly sans interviews right now...

I'm pumped. There are some really sweet dismounts in there!
Dismounts? You mean some
Dismounts? You mean some people actually stopped and got off at checkpoints? The F1 fan in me would never forgive it.
for real?
how'd you swipe your card and turn around at no brakes?
Easy!
You pulled a little bit past the shop. Turned onto the sidewalk. Pass the window/reader giving it a swipe. Continue down the sidewalk until you could get onto the road. The grill they were cooking on may a tad bit tight but doable.
get on sidewalk
get on sidewalk about 30' before no brakes, get to window, set foot down, tap card, hop down curb, ride.
yeah, that's how I did it,
yeah, that's how I did it, getting on the sidewalk right before the big van. Only problem was I kept trying to stop by grabbing the window bars and almost ripped my arm outta the socket a couple of times. Damn bars...
