It has become apparent that there needs to be a function for race participants to find and create teams to ride with. I think the race will be the most fun if people are able to ride with the right teams. Additionally, people coming to the race from out of town and others who may not know many of us personally are having an especially hard time finding teams. Some of them may even be signing up to ride solo even though they would prefer a team! Lastly, if you have only 2 or 3 people on your team, you can make a new friend and have lots more fun by recruiting a teammate or two. In fact, it is encouraged by the "teams of 4-6" rule.
Please use this thread to discuss creating teams, looking for teams to join, etc. Keep in mind, if you have registered as a solo competitor and wish to join a team, all you have to do is let Chris Kelly know!

edit by ck: if you don't have a team, you can register without a a team and be guaranteed a slot to race. just say so in the email you send and I'll make note of it. Once we hit 200 people, registration is closed!

I've got half a team: Me, Sharonopolis and Tex need three riders to round out our roster. We wont to form a semi-competitive team. We plan to have people riding the whole time and have those people doing their personal best. Sharon and I will be playing music at Johnny's between roughly 8:30 pm and 10:00pm that evening so we'll need people who are willing to cover laps during that time. Who wants in?

Need a fun team to join
Hey,
I'm sorta new in town and slept on the whole 24 hour race thing. I'm just looking for a team to join that's not too too serious. I'm all about exhausting myself but I'd rather not be with people that'll get all mad.
Anyways, I have two fixed gear bikes and one road bike so I'm willing to ride any of those but would prefer one of the fixed gear bikes if that's cool with the team. Please let me know if anyone's got a slot.

We were going to have a pretty competitive team, then three of our members had to bail out due to another race. The three of us that are left aren't giving up though. If you're still teamless and feel that your talents would be squandered on the "misfits team" thrown together on race day, consider joining our squad. If there's another three-person team that wants tostay competitive, we could consider merging as well.
