Feature Request!

It'd be pretty sweet if there were an option to autocreate a discussion thread and set mutual links between the discussion thread and the event when creating an event. The only problem is figuring out which category to stick the discussion thread into.

i bet ckdake will have no

i bet ckdake will have no more than three words to respond to that with: go for it; or) write the code.

noted. I'd like this process to be a lot simpler. Theres some new features of drupal 5 and some modules that make this possible, it's just something I gotta spend time on. It'll happen! (But more quicker if you write the coe :) )

sopo mailing list feed?

sometimes i post things on the sopo mailing list and here. is there a way to eliminate the double work for me?

ckdake's picture

if you spit it out as an

if you spit it out as an RSS/XML feed from your website, i can get this one to subscribe to it and auto post it somewhere like the way the bikeblogs/planet thing works. That can show up as a block on the right or on the front page or something.

alllmost.. I need an XML/RSS version of that page that doesnt have formatting (i.e. http://fastermustache.org/node/feed )

I think this is it, but do

I think this is it, but do we really want all the extra stuff showing up? Seems like most people here wouldn't care about many of the messages coming through. (Basically I'm thinking you'd get more attention on the events that matter to people here if they only see those, because if they see a bunch of unrelated stuff they will just ignore the whole stream.)

yeahhh..

..but i'm getting tired of having to post things a billion times.

photo gallery request

I don't know if this is because I don't have a paid account or whatever but when I look at photos in the gallery the "list" of all the other photos on the right disappears (the list being: Faster Pictures +Biking +Graphics +Events +Random Stuff). This makes it hard to navigate between one set of photos to another.

I realize that I could navigate with the links at the top (Home » Faster Pictures » Biking » Critical Mass Atlanta » 2006: April) but it's still kind of difficult when I want to jump around to different photos.

Is there a way to make the "list" of photos on the right stay there when I'm looking at individual picutres?

Gallery arrow problem

If I am browsing thru pictures, I don't get the next (right) arrow on the main picture, just the previous (left) arrow. Seems this way in both IE and Foxfire.

ckdake's picture

that is the demons. I can't

that is the demons. I can't figure that one ou, it only happens sometimes, and it's just evil. Perhaps a future version of the theme will fix that..

works for me....

but there are exceptions. The photos that portrait (up and down) don't have a right (forward arrow that works).

If I had to guess, it's b/c my cursor hasn't crossed over a fixed number of pixels to trigger the new arrow. In other words, the triggers need to be set to the dimensions of each photo, not some universal value.

My guess is that this isn't something on your end, but I don't know anything about drupal or the intertrolley.

ah! nice catch. Likely a bug

ah! nice catch. Likely a bug in the NZDI theme for auto-rotated images or something. I'll investigate later and post when I figure out something.

I'm doing a lot of matlab right now

and kind of running into analogous issues (with equations, not photos mind you).

But yeah, any other month of m life and I wouldn't have noticed.

it might be time to make a FAQ

including such gems as.
1. i want to convert my bike to ss/fg, what do i do?
2. where can i fix my bike for cheap?
3. how do i report vertical grates?
4. what is a squid?
5. what is a goat?
6. what beverages are most beneficial to cyclists?
7. what bike subculture things are there to do around here?
8. when is a bike lane not a bike lane?

and so on..

I could help out with that. But not until I write my next paper and take 3 more finals.

But other than trying to sneak it in at work, which I may do this week, I'm not going to have any free time at home until next Wednesday.

more of a question

i see this:
"Gallery2

User has not created an album yet"

on everybody's personal information page. what does this mean? photo album? how can i create an "album"?

also, is there anyway to integrate the "introductions" and "personal information" pages?

ckdake's picture

Gallery2: a new

Gallery2: a new gallery2->drupal bridge is coming out soon. This will be neater later on, just ignore for now!

introductions/personalinfo -> stay tuned! It's close to the top of my list and neat things should happen.

I don't know much about this stuff, but...

Is it possible to get an RSS feed that will show unread post for each user?

ckdake's picture

Nope. that would require the

Nope. that would require the feed reader to log in and RSS is designed to be a queue and not a list that changes. I could set up something but it'd be a lil cumbersome and hard to get it to work with feed readers.
