how far will you ride? where
how far will you ride? where is johnnys? will someone hold my hand?
The Norm
WELL when it was taking off from Woodruff Park (which is much cooler) we would ride somewhere between 4-6 miles depending on how we were feeling. This is not one of those like lets bust our ass and burn some fat rides. This is more of like one of those i wanna keep my fat where it is and put the beer in the place of the water in the bottle have fun rides.
Johnny's is a metaphor dude!! It's a metaphor for crappy, I suggest that you not expose yourself to that, unless you go with Panda and in that case if you be a major bum for like one day then the next day you go he will not let you pay for anything. Though if you go with Panda you will piss off every waitress and cook there and never get your food and when you get it it will probably look kinda weird (i suggest not eating it) and smelly. Just to be on the safe side I would say just don't go in. But it's on Highland.
Yes, someone WILL hold your hand!!!! His name is Mike (deadcowboymike) he would love to hold your hand.
deadcowboymike
will only hold your hand if you put out, apparently.
yeah!
I'll hold your hand if Mike puts out.

Thursday nights are typically the casual rides. Anywhere from 5 to 10 miles. No one gets left behind. If you get a flat, or just ride slow, you won't get left behind, that's the nature of the Thursday night rides.
Flats
suck...

I don't think I'll make it
I don't think I'll make it out - I have guests in who don't know how to ride bikes. I was going to teach them, but they showed up a day late and ruined that plan. So unless someone wants to stop by my place and teach them how to ride a bike this afternoon, it's not happening for me and Elly!
edit: But I wholeheartedly encourage anyone to go on this ride, beginners and pros alike. When I started it, it was designed to be really a laid back ride, since all the rides back then were all SUPER FAST TOO MANY STARS TO RATE and that's not everyone's game. If you have any trepidation about biking, it's kind of like a mini-Mass. It's a great introduction-ride to bigger and better things (but you always come back for the love).
And very friendly!
Thursday Night Ride was my first FM ride...on my way back home one night I was picked up by maraudering cyclists and conscripted into their ranks. It was fun, someone threw up, and I came back for more.
I may or may not come tonight...the weather is beautiful, but I might go down to SoPo instead to do a little work.
they don't KNOW HOW to ride
they don't KNOW HOW to ride bikes? Or they just haven't ridden in a long time? yeek, I thought EVERYONE had ridden some bike at some time or another in their lives, but I guess that is my whitey mcwhiterson from down south georgia view of the world, right?
one doesn't know how, she's
one doesn't know how, she's never been on one. the other has riden bikes before! i can't comprehend not knowing how either. i hadn't been on a bike in about 15 years when i started riding last winter.
I'ma coming
so long as you guys don't wuss out on account of it being a little wet.
