Details:
I know this is really short notice but I just now thought to post it on here. I'm going on a training ride Tuesday morning. I'll be riding for atleast 2 hours (atleast 30 miles) before going to Lunch. If anyone wants to join me either call or I'll check this before I leave.
BTW this ride is to see how I do with >25 mile rides becuase I havn't done one in a while and the GSU cycling team's going to UGA this coming weekend for a race and crit and I'm thinking about going if I feel I can hang. So those of you who goto GSU and want to race you should this weekend. I can give you the e-mail of the guy to contact. I don't feel like finding it right now. so ask.

along those lines
if anybody is heading out to the silver comet, wants company, and has room for another person and another bike in their car, call me up!
i'm hoping my new fork will be arriving soon, which means my fixed gear will be back in action by this weekend. if not, i've got my road bike and am remembering how much fun it can be to shift and coast.
patience, my dear
For all your wishes shall come true should you only wait for them to manifest.
Saturday good? What time's best for you?
ha
no.
i forgot i am doing the track thing this weekend.
but any OTHER weekend, i am up for silver cometing!
i actually wouldn't mind
i actually wouldn't mind heading up there one day as well. i have never been!
We could try to make it a
We could try to make it a once-a-month or bi-monthly event during the summer, waking up Saturday morning and riding on the Comet trail. It'd be good training.
I'm down, after this weekend
I'll be outta town this weekend but I'm definitely into doing it more in the future. Guercioti is right, though. We need to get up and get out there early to avoid crowds and stuff. However, I don't think it's necessary to start farther along the trail. Going slow around the other traffic is a good warmup.
It'd be cool to get enough people to do two pace lines side by side so that we can still chat with people. 1 pace line can get lonely.
opps
i was tired and slept in 2 hours. and by the time I get my road bike together it wont be worth it. I would do it this afternoon by my grandma's coming in town and I think I'm going to eat dinner with my family in Lawrenceville. Maybe not though. We'll see how I feel tonight.
Why don't you skip hanging
Why don't you skip hanging out with the GSU cycling team this weekend and let's go to the Silver Comet this weekend instead?
sounds good to me.
I remembered late last night (after posting this) that I don't have a USCF liscence and I don't have the money for one right now. Plus I still need to by the GSU kit (more money I don't have). We can do the commet. My car can only fit me and my bike so you'd have to find your own ride, but I'm sure a few more people will be interested. We'll talk at lunch and make it an event.
I've got a bike rack but no
I've got a bike rack but no car... I don't have a lot I need to do this weekend. I have a road bike I haven't ridden in a loooooong time. ?
is it a trunk rack?
if you got a trunk rack then we're in business. I can carry two more plus our stuff.
btw its for things like this that I wish we had some nice lookin' jerseys
Yup. It's a trunk rack.
Yup. It's a trunk rack.
Congrats on your new bike
Congrats on your new bike mike. Kashif(sp?) said he put a brake on it yesterday (I hope those wheels are true(tic)).
Be careful on the SCT during weekends because it gets crazy crowded. If you can only go on weekends, then dont start at the beginning, go out about 10-15 miles and start there.
If you ride on Sundays, go fairly early because Frankie's closes around 3pm.
dear gregg, i'm sorry i
dear gregg,
i'm sorry i didn't show for your ride, but i had to wake up early to shampoo my carpet.

WTF???
You have the rest of your life to wake up so early.
Btw, I'm riding the Silver Comet tomorrow, we'll be departing the Publix parking lot ~11:30am, hopefully gonna do the full monty, aka ~70 miles to Frankie's and back, but at least 45 miles, cuz I took today(monday) off. If anybody else is gonna do the SCT holla.
It should hit 80 tomorrow, so its time to get used to the heat again.
PS. Can somebody provide the exact street address of the chinese place ya'll goto downtown, I'd like to visit it sometime. tia.
