Friday Ride

griggey's picture

Details:
I have two tests and a paper due Friday and I hanv't anything for any of it yet. SO, I'll be very relieved to be done with class for the week and ready to ride. This can be either a squidy/distance ride or a cruising ride. I don't care which. And it doesn't have to start at 3, but that's roughly the ealiest I'll be out on the bike. So show some interest and give me input.

damn! GSU's spring break

damn!

GSU's spring break comes entirely too early...why can't it coincide with anyone else's?

i'm wit ya

it is an early spring break, but kinda nice. too bad i have friday classes (and my mean teachers are giving me tests. i have two tests and a paper due today.)

Don't worry, none of the

Don't worry, none of the grown-up classes meet on Fridays, because all the snooty professors are too lazy to drag their asses down to the campus on Fridays. Or maybe that's just film professors.

conjob's picture

sigh...

i'm supposed to be in grown-up classes now, but i'm taking an intro-level language and am a TA for an intro-level religion class. i have to be on campus all day on fridays. it sucks.

That is the world's smallest violin playing just for you. Or maybe you want me to call the waaaambulance? ;-)

conjob's picture

it's true

being in class a grand total of 19 hours a week puts a strain on my schedule.

Alex's picture

Shit!

That is almost, like, 1/3 of a regular work week. How do you manage?

conjob's picture

butttttttt!

it's spread out over FIVE WHOLE DAYS!
that's an average of.... 4 hours of class time PER DAY!

univega's picture

BUTTS!

Sorry, couldn't resist

Butt jokes... I think I'm in love!

Wow...i'm impressed.

not many other people that I've met understand the elegant simplicity of BUTTS!!!!

Bleh

Oh well, you'll have a week of freedom soon.

No classes on Fridays is awesome - it was also an unexpected bonus this semester.

It's a good thing no one else could go, cause I went to get on my bike and discovered that my back tire was flat. Must've gotten a slow leak yesterday whilst riding over some rough wet terrain in South East Atlanta (I had no idea that Ormewood was being worked on). Then I decided I should really clean my rims and bike from all the crap that got flung up last night.

Now I'm leaving, though! I will enjoy pastries and coffee for everyone, and fill my orange panniers with fruits and vegetables!!

I want to ride on Friday...

which is why I'm a-goin' riding right now.

It's my spring break, suckers!

Who wants to ride to the Farmer's Market with me? Everyone who missed out on breakfast at half-past-early can catch some pastries and coffee with me.

*edit* leaving from Candler Park/Lake Claire but I like riding, so I'll meet you someplace near you if you like before riding out to the *other* edge of Decatur!

sadly, i have class.

Rarrr

My spring break isn't until the END of this month. FM pastries would be awesome right now. Sadly, I am in Chamblee until 4:00. Gregg, grow up so we can go to ABC.

griggey's picture

i'm working on it

i've been working on it for a while now. in fact i've spent more time working on it than anything else -- almost 20 years of my life spent working on solving this. And i have a feeling that within a year and a half I'll find the key and solve the problem. i just need more time . . .

Dfunk's picture

Actually...

No, don't grow up. It's scary. Peter Pan is right. It's better to always stay a little boy and have fun. I'm gonna go work now. :-(

The trick is...

let your body get older, but keep your brain at a healthy 20-25... also, ride bikes. Maybe listen to some Slayer.

ckdake's picture

just dont mix slayer and

just dont mix slayer and driving.

Jeff's picture

I have tried Slayer and biking

and it didn't work for me. However, I am able to get my groove on while riding, but the tunes are so "not new" that I won't list them here.

"not new"

what would you call slayer?

Teh Black Hole's picture

Dude

Slayer released an album last year.

Jeff's picture

I call them a band that came out

after must of my neuronal synapses had been established.

right

but they're one of the most established bands around.

it's not like they've put out a few 7-inches and an LP and everyone's curious if their new stuff will be good enough for them to hang around. that's a new band IMO.

univega's picture

I would like to point out...

There is no age limit on pastries.

I know, I know, tests and papers. Likely excuses.

ABC

After your ride you should come get some beers at atlanta brewing company on Williams (by tech), 5-7:30 tastings, $6 for all you can drink plus a pint glass to keep. Twotone and I pour/work the door occasionally on fridays!

griggey's picture

youngin

i'm a youngin'. only 19. otherwise would be amazing.

Dfunk's picture

I'll be on my way out the door from work @ 4:30 and I'll want to ride since I didn't yesterday. My squid gear is all in the wash. Then again, I did the entire silver comet in jeans, so whatever. Meet downtownish and ride... somewhere?
