Prizes and confirmations I've already talked to MJQ about tickets to the Drunken Unicorn shows or Bar Tab prize of around $50. I Can also get free passes to the Relaspe Theater Friday Night Shows. (VHS or Beta was held here if any of you guys went to that) I am going to talk to Sam from Grave Side or Watson to see if they would like to Donate time for a Tattoo session as a prize. |

I spoke to Montain Black this afternoon and she has offered us so special deals on making T-shirts CUSTOM during the race for as little as 8.50 - 10.OO - Alternative apperal. These shirts sell upword to 40.00 in the store in the Highlands with no graphics!!!!
we can make them while the race is going on.... because her shop is connected to Johnny's.
- Has SOPO considered running a type of fundrasing carnavel in the day light hours of the race for the people not racing and the customers of johnnys since we have the whole parking lot? They could bring in extra needed funds for doing $1 events or something! i.e....doing mini events to win lottery tickets for prizes later in the evening or three legged races type feildday stuff???

It merely alludes (pokes fun if you will) to a very common sponsorship situation with any event, namely exclustivity.
I didn't see anything to imply exclustivity, and this ain't exactly the Tour de France, so a gift certificate from Mellow shouldn't (hopefully!) put anybody's bee in a bonnet.
EDIT: If you or Johnny's don't want a gift certificate from Mellow, I'll skip it. Mellow wants to contribute, but I haven't accepted anything from them yet.

The Deal for the beer at Johnny's is BOTTOMLESS PBR but you would have to buy a Johnny's Mug for $5 - The Bonus is that you can bring this mug back to Johnny's on Fridays and receive $1 PBR's anytime. For those of us not drinking beer this lowers the cost of the the Race!!!!

is an estiment of 100 people good for participants?.. last year i think we had around 70 something - Also i need an estiment for Breakfast - I know last year not everyone that participated ate breakfast... they are also having Vegan options and Breakfast pies.

100. Its as good as any, and its what we were using a few weeks ago.
Really its just guess work, but for Breakfast, just to kinda safe, I'd suggest something in the 60-70 range. Not everybody will be there, but we need enough in case we guess wrong, that everybody will get something.
For vegans, I'd use the turnout you and dawn have had for your potluck dinners, and fudge it up or down, as you see fit.

Dawn, thats not reality, most centuries only see ~25-33% pre-registers. Day of event signups are always a consideration. Its just human nature.

I know Kurt was talking to reload about having them make a bag. What about having them make a set of fanny packs/lock-holsters for the winning team? They could be like title belts.

the customizing of a hip pouch doesn't raise cost much and i bet you could swing a deal(whoever is talking to reload should talk to them soon cuz they never hook it up unless they have more than a month notice, in anytime i've ever dealt with) but yeah short of getting a full size bag for every one of the winners this would be what i would do if i was in the situation of spending money on prizes
