So I've made the switch to clipless pedals and shoes (The biggest misnomer EVER.) and am looking at possibly picking up a pair of normal looking, more comfortable shoes. Not having to carry an extra pair of shoes to work would be a major plus in the fall. So far, I've found these. Does anybody know of any other normal looking spd compatible shoes?

your best bet will be
your best bet will be mountain biking shoes, which are almost all spd compatible and have a recessed cleat. i have an older pair of shimano that are great for commuting because i can walk around work without sounding like a horse. however, they're are really uncomfortable over any kind of distance on the road or at the track. that's the only thing that suck about mine.
What about them is
What about them is uncomfortable over long distances?
i find the mtb shoes have a
i find the mtb shoes have a tendency to be sort of bulky and not really form-fitting like road shoes. i have problems with my toes going numb and they are always cold in the winter 'cause they're mesh and not leather. this may just be shimano's but those might be points to consider.
I typically have no problems with mine
I wore them all day at least twice a week last semester.
Most ultra distance people
Most ultra distance people ride with Mtn shoes. After 4-5 hours in the saddle your feet swell.... this is what causes hot foot. Mtn shoes tend to be wider ithan road shoes so it allows for the swelling.
I wear these and they are
I wear these and they are comfy and not too bike looking.
Shimano sandals
They are SPD and I wear them all day at work. Very, very comfortable. I have wide feet and they cause no pain. I can wear them almost year round, just added various sock layers in the winter. Highly recommended.
Yeah but sandals no worky
Yeah but sandals no worky with my prescription insoles. Yet another reason to not have to change shoes when I get to work: not wanting to swap my insoles back and forth.
Too bad
'cause they are cooool in this weather.
You know
My python boot is too tight
I couldn’t get it off last night
A week went by
And now it’s july
I finally got it off
And my girlfriend cried, you got stink-foot!
Stink-foot, darlin’

mudshark!
mudshark!
my theory
You probably won't need your insoles while biking since you feet are only supporting a fraction of your weight.
Also, changing shoes isn't that big of deal, especially if you're working and it's only twice a day (arriving at and leaving from work). Heck, when I drove to Kennesaw to work, I still changed shoes. I left my work shoes there and made the commute in my sauconies.
David, Some of the more
David,
Some of the more casual spd shoes are pretty comfortable off the bike, but I would hesitate to wear them every day at work. They are really designed for biking and you might be uncomfortable wearing them all day.
David, I've been rockin with
David,
I've been rockin with these Shimano MT-40's and they are also very comfortable to walk in.

Stop in and see Mike at Intown Bikes, he has some models from Lake and Diadora, that match your wants.
FYI, alot of these bike shoes are fairly narrow, so lace'm up and actually walk around abit. If you get them at REI, you can always takem back if it doesn't work out.
