Faster Mustache is a progressive non-organization made up of a diverse group of Atlanta residents with one thing in common: riding bicycles. We believe in the power of cyclists to change our communities and our world through ongoing discussion, entertaining events, and positive action. Online and on the road, at work or at play, we challenge everyone to use a bike. It doesn't matter what type: fixed, free, geared, single, cruiser, chopper, racer, or clunker. No two bikes are the same and certainly no two riders are the same, but in the auto-centric city of Atlanta, we have fun
sticking together. Simply put, we invite everyone to bike everywhere with us. Welcome to Faster Mustache!
Broken Hearts and Bicyle Parts 7: Backroads and Lightloads,” Sopo Bicycle Cooperative’s seventh annual fundraiser is slated for a weekend of fun, May 6-8th. This event has grown from an alley cat in past years to a full weekend of inclusive cycling events meant to encourage individuals to pick up their bikes and go for a ride. Advance registration can be done now online at Sopobikes.org. Those with smartphones can quickly link to the registration page via QR code from any of the posters or fliers around town.

Track Season is upon us! Dick Lane Velodrome is open for the season and this past Wednesday was the first of the 2011 Weekly Racing series.
After winning the team competition last year, FM:Race has a reputation to uphold and we're already hard at work securing our team placing this year. From the team results we're currently tied for 3rd of 11 teams, and once the school semester is over we'll have a few more people out at the track every week.
Results from Wednesday are up, Brian and Justin both snagging points in the As and Chris and Stafford getting points in the Bs.
Come to Wheelrace Night next Wednesday, and enjoy watching or racing! Spectators get in free.
Its that time of year again and FM:Race is proud to unveil our 2011 kits. They will be available for purchase through the FM.org store starting tomorrow March 27 at noon. Orders will be taken for 10 days only. Ordering will close at noon on April 6th. This year we are working together with Sfatto Clothing to provide the cleanest, most comfortable kits we've ever had. We will be selling kits in both men's and women's sizes. Check out the order form for more details:
Sfatto kit ordering has been closed, but wool jerseys are still available, in limited quantities.
Here's a sneak peak at the 2011 FM:Race kits.

That's right, 2011 is here if you hadn't noticed. Bikes are being raced, and FM:Race is having a little get-together tomrrow at Loose Nuts Cycles, the 2011 Official Bike Shop of Faster Mustache. Come check out the shop, have a drink or few, and maybe pick up some sweet parts for your bike.
We'll have some beer, bring something tasty to eat or drink if there is anything left in your house after the ice crazyness this week, and enjoy the company of fellow cyclists away from the cold!
I'll write up some more about this race once I don't feel the need to sleep for 14 hours but here is the jist.
Here are the results from the 2010 Cyclocross season:
Rebecca Graham WON the Women's A category. For those who don't know, this is her first season racing cross. She started in B's, moved up after the first race, and raced strongly and consistently with tough competition. Congratulations Rebecca!
The Men's A race had strong representation from Faster Mustache, with Alex Clifford, Shey Lindner and Eric Nicoletti in 8th, 9th and 10th place out of 46 racers. Alex demolished his shifters at Jim Miller Park, and raced the last three A races single-speed.
