Faster MustacheFaster Mustache is a progressive organization made up of a diverse group of Atlanta residents with one thing in common: riding bicycles. We believe in the power of cyclists to change our communities and our world through ongoing discussion, entertaining events, and positive action. Online and on the road, at work or at play, we challenge everyone to use a bike. It doesn't matter what type: fixed, free, geared, single, cruiser, chopper, racer, or clunker. No two bikes are the same and certainly no two riders are the same, but in the auto-centric city of Atlanta, we have fun
sticking together. Simply put, we invite everyone to bike everywhere with us. Welcome to Faster Mustache! | ![]() |

Want to really help the community?
Submitted by purplebike on Sun, 05/20/2007 - 13:46FM has talked a lot recently about "saving the world" and being more involved in the community--and I think that's a really fabulous goal for us as a group of like-minded people.
So here's a way for you, any of you, to get personally involved with the greater Atlanta community in a cycling sort of way: volunteer at SOPO.
Seriously.

United States Social Forum
Submitted by gabriel on Thu, 05/17/2007 - 15:35So, somewhere between 10,000 and 20,000 activists are coming to Atlanta.
The basic info is at www.ussf2007.org.
Two very cool parts of the USSF that can use some FM ingenuity and effort are the Big Game and the Bike Brigade. I'll create a few discussion topics and link to them here. They both have discussion forums.

Submitted by roger3b on Mon, 05/14/2007 - 14:13Come out for a debate on peak oil. Is it true or just a lie by bike riding hippies?
Bring facts, drink some, and maybe we'll wonder over to global warming? Someone bring a labtop if they have wireless.
keep discussion in this thread

Cyclomania 2.007
Submitted by Jean Pierre on Sat, 05/12/2007 - 04:19**Details**
Cyclomania is a party on wheels. After riding hard at the 24hr race we all need to kick back and use our bikes as they were intended to be used. As slow, low impact, bar hopping transportation. This is not a race, and the pace is SLOW. This event is for everyone. So get your non riding friends on a bike and bring them on out. You don't have to drink to ride, but it is highly encouraged.

hess dogs presents: Lucky Sevens Race
Submitted by skiptown on Wed, 05/02/2007 - 19:48The flyer(http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s45/lopan666/777copy.jpg) pretty much says it all. As always with our races be ready for the predictable and the unpredictable. If I were racing i'd slip an ace up my sleve and make sure i brought a couple extra bucks in case the betting gets heavy. Oh and bring a bag to haul your winnings in and a lock to keep them secure. We'd love to have as many people come out to this as possible, there is going to be big suprise at the end of this that isn't likely to stay a secret. But needless to say the race and afterparty are going to be sick!
