Action Cycling Atlanta proudly offers you the opportunity to enjoy a scenic and challenging 200-mile bike ride on May 17-18, 2008. Along the way, you'll enjoy the company of other cycling enthusiasts from across the country while also raising funds for the Emory Vaccine Center (EVC). EVC is a leader in the search to find an HIV/AIDS vaccine. The ActionCycling 200 will provide much needed funding for AIDS vaccine research. To date, we have raised more than $315,000, passing through 100% of funds raised by the riders, crew and volunteers. With your help in 2008, we can raise so much more! At the site of the first ever (1996) Olympic Mountain Bike Race, we will race for 24 Hours against stiff competition (including Gary Fisher himself). FM:Race Headquarters will be hosting the team, supporters, and guests who want to drop by. Look for the big red canopy with the big white, familiar cog logo plastered on it. Also look for tomfoolery, shenanegannery, horesplay, and overall actin' of the fool.
24 Hour Races are known for their intense competition and festival atmosphere. Come and support the team or bring a six pack and soak up the atmosphere. Stay as little or as long as you like. We will be there all night!

Meet at Estoria 97's parking lot for a 7am departure to Stone Mountain. We'll take Hosea L Williams, Rocky Ford, and then The PATH this time and may do a different route in the future.
Bring some water, some tools, and a bike!
Pace should be 15-17mph average this first go at it and will likely start to pick up in the future.
This is a spandex ride if you're feeling it. I know I'll be!

Once again its that time of year when we roast a pig!
If you've been before, you know the drill. If this is new for you, here's the low-down. We will provide one entire pig, roasted, and a large quantity of beer, cold. Please feel free to bring any items that you would enjoy eating with large quantities of pork. In the past, people have brought salads, beans, potato salad, brownies, tofu, cookies, guacamole, salsa, chips etc.

Adrian and I are mountain biking at Sope Creek in Sandy Springs Thursday at 6pm. I know this is late notice but I want to let y'all know in case you are in the area and want to join us.

It's that time of the year -- Screen on the Green! This year it's being held at Centennial Olympic Park instead of the usual Piedmont Park. As such, you can't bring your own alcohol; however, it's my understanding that they're selling alcohol there (for $arm+leg). I'll probably try the 'ol wine or sparks in a bottle trick.
This is every Thursday night until the end of June.

Come out and see Revolutionary Youth (featuring John and Alec of SoPo fame), and Apocalypse Radio (the most fun you can have with a banjo, ukulele, saw, accordion, percussion, and a wind-up radio).
This is one of the last times Phil and Becca will be around before they head back to NYC, so you should come say goodbye if you know them. And if you don't know them, come to introduce yourself and say hello.
Also, Sopo is having its alleycat there the following night, so you can come a day early and learn where the place is.
